2. Burns
Burns cause blisters when heat damages the top layers of your skin. Your body forms a fluid-filled bubble to protect the injured area. Fire, hot liquids, steam, electricity, chemicals, and strong sun exposure can all lead to burns.
Doctors group burns by depth, which affects how likely you are to see blisters.
- First-degree burns affect only the outer layer of skin. You may notice redness, mild swelling, and pain, but usually no blisters.
- Second-degree burns damage deeper layers and often cause clear blisters, redness, swelling, and more intense pain.
- Third-degree burns reach the deepest layers. The skin may look white, brown, or charred, and it can feel numb. Blisters may or may not appear.
You can treat small, mild burns at home by cooling the area under clean, cool water for several minutes. Avoid ice, oils, or butter, as these can worsen skin damage. After cooling, cover the area with a clean, dry bandage.
3. Allergy or Irritants from Cosmetics, Hair Products, or Other Chemicals
Your skin can form blisters when it reacts to cosmetics, hair products, or other chemicals. This reaction, called contact dermatitis, happens when something touches your skin and causes irritation or an allergic response.
You may notice redness, itching, and small fluid-filled blisters. The rash often appears where the product touches your skin, such as your face, scalp, neck, or hands. In some cases, the blisters may ooze or crust over.
There are two main types of reactions:

Some medications cause blisters as a side effect. Your skin may react to a drug even if you have taken it before without problems. These reactions can range from mild blisters in one area to more serious skin changes that affect large parts of your body.
Certain drug classes are more likely to trigger blistering. These include antibiotics, anti-seizure medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and chemotherapy drugs. Some medications used to treat autoimmune diseases or infections also affect how your skin cells hold together.
When this happens, fluid collects under the top layer of your skin and forms a blister. In some cases, your immune system overreacts to a medication and attacks healthy skin cells by mistake. This can lead to painful blisters, peeling skin, redness, and sores in your mouth or eyes. These reactions can develop days or even weeks after you start a new drug.
6. Infection
Infections cause blisters when germs enter your skin. Bacteria, viruses, and fungi can all damage the outer layer and lead to fluid-filled sacs. Bacterial skin infections such as impetigo may cause small blisters that break and form a crust.
A deeper infection like cellulitis can make your skin red, swollen, warm, and painful. In some cases, the skin may blister and scab over. 10. Sports and Running

11. Eczema

Some forms of eczema cause blisters more often than others. Pompholyx eczema, also called dyshidrotic eczema, leads to small, deep blisters on your fingers, palms, and soles.

14. Wearing Compression Sleeves
